eHRAF Collection of Archaeology

eHRAF Collection of Ethnography
Electronic HRAF is a work in progress.  At present, it indexes only 60 cultures, so for comprehensive treatment of world cultures use the HRAF microfiche collection.  The ethnography collection was produced on microfiche from 1950 until 1993.  Since 1994, materials are only available electronically.  Some of the cultures included in both the microfiche and electronic version are not covered in the same way; the electronic version will include more recent works, and some of older material was not retained. The Outline of World Cultures (OWC) helps users to identify a culture of interest by using an alphanumeric classification system, and the Outline of Cultural Materials (OCM) is a subject coding system used to describe specific aspects of cultural belief and practice.  Printed copies of the Outline of World Cultures and Outline of Cultural Materials are available in Microforms Services (FilmB) GN345.3 .M87 1983.  For microfiche holdings see Microfiche 285.
