Introduction
This database in progress aims at locating the archives of classical scholars. The individuals included so far are those listed in the following sources:
Ward Briggs, Jr. Biographical Dictionary of North American Classicists. Westport, CT: Greenwood, 1994.
Breaking Ground: Pioneering Women Archaeologists. Getzel M. Cohen and Martha Sharp Joukowsky, editors. Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 2004.
Most of the entries have been added by Hwasun Choe and Nienke Boer, both at Princeton University, using Briggs book in addition to the databases ArchivesUSA and RLG's ArchiveGrid.
