As the largest of Princeton's libraries, Firestone has the largest and broadest collection of magazines, newspapers, scholarly journals, and periodicals. These are housed in the Periodicals & Newspapers Reading Room on A floor, adjacent to the reserve collection.

Recent issues of over 4000 magazines or other periodicals and more than 200 newspapers are kept in this room, arranged in alphabetical order.

Older volumes of magazines and journals are bound and shelved in the Firestone stacks or, occasinally, in Graduate Study Rooms. Older years of newspapers are generally available on microfilm. All these materials are listed in the Main Catalog.
